On November 9th, CU Raaga collaborated with the RootEd Foundation USA to present the Columbia edition of One Step Closer Koncerts 2024. The event featured a spectacular Bharatanatyam Margam performed by our very own planning board member, Aditi Iyer! This unique narrative performance format sparked meaningful conversations between the audience and the art form, celebrating the beauty and richness of Indian classical dance.

Aditya Ranade Concert

We kicked off the semester on September 21 with a spectacular Hindustani vocal concert featuring the legendary Aditya Ranade, accompanied by stalwarts Rohan Prabhudesai on harmonium and Aditya Phatak on tabla. For many, this was an introduction to South Asian classical music, particularly Hindustani shastriya-sangeet, a tradition originating from Northern India. It was a night to remember, full of soulful melodies and profound artistry.
