Columbia University's Club Raaga
CU Raaga is the premier club at Columbia University dedicated to the celebration and promotion of South Asian classical music, encompassing both Carnatic and Hindustani traditions. Our mission is to create an inclusive space where the Columbia community can immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of South Asian art forms. We foster connections among individuals who share a passion for these musical traditions, encouraging collaboration, learning, and personal growth.
At CU Raaga, we organize a diverse array of events to enrich the cultural landscape of Columbia University. Our offerings include concerts, workshops, lecture demonstrations, and student showcases, along with weekly practice sessions designed to hone skills and deepen understanding of classical music. All events are complimentary for CUID holders, and our major events are open to the public, welcoming everyone to experience the beauty of South Asian classical music.
